Founded in 1970 by Robert A. Robertson as a full-service advertising agency,
The Robertson Company, Inc. started its product-placement division, called
Game-Show Placements, Ltd. in 1972. In 1984 the company resigned its last
major advertising account to focus entirely on the placement of products
on game- and talk-shows. Since then the company's main thrust has been
finding unique promotional opportunities for its wide variety of clients,
both large and small. The company's initial background in "traditional"
advertising has allowed it to be a full-service promotional placement
company with a talented background in copywriting, graphics and product
positioning. And its location in the heart of Hollywood's "production
row", gives it easy access to the latest in high-tech computer graphics
and imaging, as well as the cutting edge of audio and video production.
Game-Show Placements is headed by Samuel "Sam" Robertson, CEO, and Benjamin
"Ben" Robertson, President. A graduate of UCLA, Sam joined the company
in 1974. Ben came on board in 1981 having graduated from UCLA with a communications
major. With 38 years combined experience, Sam and Ben are widely respected
in the industry for both their expertise and innovative approaches to
product placement.
